My Story

I have been taking Kratom since COVID. During that time, I was laid off because I worked in the restaurant industry. I was always sitting around watching TV doing nothing and I started to have issues with my sciatica.

At that time, I had a friend that always came over when she got off of work, and we would watch Stranger Thngs. She also introduced me to Kratom, she said it would help with my pain from the sciatica. It took me roughly 6 to 7 months to find the exact blend that worked well. Some did absolutely nothing, others made me sick, there was also some that just plain out got me high. But I finally found the blend that actually worked. It took away the pain for my sciatica, and just relaxed my entire body. I thought this was the greatest thing in the world! I finally found a pain reliever that was not a prescription for my doctor, and that I could just go to the store to buy it. The only problem I had, was finding this blend locally, because It was just a pain in the ass having to have it shipped from their website, I am a procrastinator and impatient, so I would wait until I hardly had any left before deciding that I had to buy it.

My job had me traveling a lot, and in the summer of 2025 we were in Maryland. I needed to get some Kratom, I found a smoke shop that had my brand and the guy gave me a 3 pack of pills and said to try it, that I wouldn’t be buying as much Kratom and taking as much with these. This pack was free, he did tell me the only problem was that it was a little pricey. Hell, I was willing to pay a little extra for less if it worked. The problem, it DID work, too good.

What he gave me was 7-Hydroxymitragymne, only 60mg, 20mg a pill. I have been hooked every since. Eventually I was taking more because of the “high” I got and the relaxing feeling that followed. Unfortunately, I got as far as taking up to 400mg a day. Every pack has said “DO NOT take more than 1 pill in a 24 hour period,” I was taking up to 5, 80mg  pills a day.

This is probably the hardest thing I have ever done, trying to break free of this. It’s getting harder to get, especially siince it is banned in Ohio. I have to drive to PA to get it. Luckily, I was working a lot in Michigan, so I would stock up when I went there. and if I ran out or ran low, I would drive the 1 1/2 hour to PA to get them
